OK, what are we talking about?

“Mold” (which is still the working title of the game) is going to be a modern take on the classic Point&Click adventure genre. Developed in Unity, it will be multi-platform (starting with PC and MAC releases), and will feature a strange mix of big-eyed, somewhat cute characters, living in a rough and sinister environment. It’s definitely a kind of comedy, concealed in a very dark and mature story… so despite its partial cuteness, the game is primarily aimed at adults.

Stephan Haidacher (Story, 2D, 3D, Dev, and the rest)

Stephan is currently working as a freelance 3D Artist out of Hamburg, Germany. As a Softimage generalist with over 15 years of experience and a strong specialisation in lighting/shading/compositing, his work field consists primarily of middle(virals&prints) and high-profile commercials (with an unintentionally ;) tendency for full CG stuff ). Most of the time he is working out of his 11 qm2 home office (about 3 qm2 are accessible) stacked with tech gimmicks which are supposed to make his life easier :)

He started working professionally around 1996 creating cg assets for mili*cough*tary simulators using stove sized E&S Unix workstations (which started to stutter if you broke the 100 polygon barrier (yes. one hundred)), until he switched to commercials and imagefilms back in 1997 using Softimage|3D (running on SGIs and Intergraph NT workstations). Stephan moved to Germany beginning of 2000 to work as a lighting/rendering supervisor for a children’s tv show (using Softimage|3D and later Maya/PRMan) until he re-entered the field of commercials around 2003.

Babette Kahn (Story, 3D)

Babette is currently employed at OptixDigital in Hamburg as a lighting/shading/compositing Artist, working on high-profile commercials (and some vfx stuff). So while she can’t put the same amount of time into this insane undertaking of a project as her “always home & seldom working” cg boyfriend ;) , she was and still is invaluable when it comes to brainstorming and “thinking it over” sessions.

She started 1999 straight with Softimage|3D and basically sticked to it. Since then, she worked as 3D generalist for well-known german production companies like Fiftyeight3D and Spans&Partner.
